Celery allergy
Reactions to celery are primarily due to a pollen-associated food allergy. In central european countries, such as France, germany and Switzerland, celery is one of the most common foods to cause oral allergy syndrome. Mostly teenagers and adults are affected by a celery allergy.
You can find information on diagnosis of food allergies and intolerances here.
DELICARDO Foodcards:
We highly recommend the use of DELICARDO Foodcards for celery allergy sufferers. When eating dishes prepared by someone else it is important that allergies and intolerances are clearly communicated to the cook and service personnel.
